Students are expected to be neat and tidy in their personal dress. Our dress code is intended to promote a positive learning atmosphere.

Students are expected to wear clothing that is conducive to learning and does not distract from their ability to fully participate in all school activities, including physical education. Students need to be able to sit comfortably on the floor and move freely. Underwear should not be visible. Clothing which has inappropriate slogans or symbols is not allowed.

Please help us help the children with this dress code. Staff will ask students to use spare clothing such as sweatshirts, etc. from the lost and found if they come to school with inappropriate attire.

Indoor Shoes

We ask every student to have a pair of shoes which remain at school and are worn only inside the school. This supports a clean floor throughout the school and a respectful attitude towards our building. Sandals, high-heeled shoes, skateboard shoes or dress shoes are not appropriate for indoor wear as they cannot be used for Phys. Ed. Each shoe should be marked with the student’s name to allow any lost shoes to be reunited with owners. In order to keep our halls, classrooms and gym floor clean we expect students (and all adults) to remove their outdoor footwear upon entering the school when footwear is wet or dirty.

Winter Dress and Gym Wear

We encourage all students to dress for the weather. Students arriving at school without jackets, mittens, hats and proper footwear cannot be clothed here at the school. They need to come with proper attire to be ready for outdoor recesses and possible Phys. Ed. Classes.
