Skate Shack

All classes will be following the indoor skating schedule at Triwood Community Arena for skating this week. Please note that these times may be different than the outdoor times on the letter your received from your classroom teacher. You can view the schedule by clicking on the sign-up link below.

We will have access to the KidSport Skate Shack for this week. The Skate Shack is a trailer filled with skates and helmets of various sizes for student use. Students are welcome to bring their own skates and CSA approved helmets (no bike helmets please) however we ask that hockey sticks remain at home.

If you have a wagon, please communicate with your child’s teacher. It would be helpful to have some wagons to help carry skates and helmets to and from the rink.

We are still short volunteers for some time slots, if you are able to volunteer for more than just your child’s class, please do so in order for all classes to have the opportunity to skate. Because we will be skating indoors we do not need volunteers to shovel the outdoor ice.

Art Card Deadline Extended

Thank you to our families for their overwhelming support of our school fundraiser. Many parents have contacted Art Cards by Kids to place orders for cards. Art Cards for Kids has offered to re-open the ordering platform for us for a short time.

Ordering platform is open now and deadline is midnight of Sunday December 17, 2023

The art orders placed will be shipped to the school on Monday December 18, 2023 and will arrive at school by Wednesday December 20, 2023. Students will receive their orders on Thursday December 21, 2023.

How to order: Please use the ordering information found in the inside of your child’s sample art cards that was brought home. If you cannot find your order number please contact ArtCards via email at info@artcardsbykids.com with your child’s full name, school name and teacher name and they can assist with order information.

This fundraiser helps support environmental projects at Collingwood School.

Posada Navideña – Traditional Mexican Posada – Dec 16 – 6PM

Parking at St Francis High School

Please do not use the St. Francis Parking lot to drop off or pick up your children. Resource officers will be issuing warnings and tickets.

Collingwood Parent Diversity Subcommittee Jan 18, 6:00PM

We had our first meeting of the Collingwood Parent Diversity Subcommittee on Dec. 7 to discuss activities for families and ways to make Collingwood School more inclusive. The next meeting will be held both online and in-person at school on January 18 at 6:00 pm.
