Dear Collingwood School Families,

Mark your calendars for our LAST Fun Lunch of the year!  Our final Fun Lunch for students in Grades 1-6 will be Thursday, May 21, 2026! 

This Fun Lunch will be Subway + Booster Juice! 

Order Deadline

The deadline to order a Fun Lunch or change/cancel an order is always the Saturday prior to the Fun Lunch date.  For this month, the order deadline is Saturday, May 16, 2026, at midnight.  After this time, there is unfortunately no way to add/change an order.

Volunteer Sign-Up

We currently have all the volunteers we require for our May Fun Lunch.  However, we consistently have cancellations a day or two before a scheduled Fun Lunch date so please check the sign-up closer to May 21, if interested.

In the event that your sign-up needs to be cancelled, please provide as much notice as possible as we require a minimum number of volunteers to distribute lunches promptly.

Student Absence on Fun Lunch Days

If your child is absent from school, on Fun Lunch day, and you were not able to cancel your Fun Lunch order by the deadline and choose to pick it up, please send an email to collingwood@cbe.ab.ca before 10:30 a.m. with instructions on pick up of the lunch.  Note the following restrictions:

  • The instructions must be received prior to 10:30 a.m. on  the day of the Fun Lunch. Fun  Lunches are organized and distributed between 10:30 a.m. and 12:15 p.m.
  • Any unclaimed lunch orders (due to student absence), without directions received by 10:30 a.m., will  be donated by the Parent Association to the staff room.
  • Pickup time for Fun Lunches for absent students will be 11:30  a.m. - 12:00 p.m., at the school.  This will allow our parent volunteers time  to find and set aside the correct order.
