For the past year Collingwood School has had a partnership with Alveole to host a beehive at our school. Alveole staff conducted workshops with students on honey extraction and candlemaking and conducted regular visits to check on the hive all year. Students had the opportunity to see the bees in action up close, look for the queen, see the pollen on the bee’s legs and ask the beekeeper all kinds of questions about these fascinating creatures.
