Dear Collingwood School Families:

December is finally upon us!  As we have previously advertised, our December "Fun Lunch” for students in Grades 1-5 will be Thursday, December 19, 2024, a little over two weeks away! This Fun Lunch will be Subway and Booster Juice! 

Order Deadline

The deadline to order a Fun Lunch or change/cancel an order is always the Saturday prior to the Fun Lunch date.  For this month the order deadline is Saturday, Dec. 14, 2024, at midnight.  After this time, there is unfortunately no way to add/change an order.

Volunteer Sign-Up

In order for Fun Lunches to be a success, we rely on volunteers to help organize and distribute the meals (students are always very excited to see you!). Please consider signing up to help, using this link:

Student Absence on Fun Lunch Days

If your child is absent from school, on Fun Lunch day, and you are planning to come pick up their Fun Lunch, please send an email to collingwood@cbe.ab.ca with instructions on pickup of the lunch.  Note the following restrictions:

  • The instructions must be received prior to 10:30 AM on the day of the Fun Lunch. Fun Lunches are organized and distributed between 11:00 AM and 12:25 PM.
  • Any unclaimed lunch orders (due to student absence), without directions received by 10:30 AM, will be donated by the Parent Association to the staff room.
  • Pickup time for Fun Lunches for absent students will be 11:45 AM - 12:00 PM, at the school.  This will allow our parent volunteers time to find and set aside the correct order.

A Parent Association volunteer will assist you with the lunch collection during this pickup time.

Upcoming Fun Lunch Dates

In addition to December’s Fun Lunch, there is also an additional date posted on the Healthy Hunger website:

  • Jan. 16, 2025 – Boston Pizza and Booster Juice

This date is active and orders can be placed at this time.
