Dear Collingwood Families,
Mark your calendars for our next Fun Lunch! This month, Fun Lunch is available for students in Grades 1–6 on Thursday, October 15, 2026.
This month’s Fun Lunch will feature Subway + Booster Juice!
Healthy Hunger Set-Up
Each student participating in the Fun Lunch program must be added under their new teacher and grade/classroom number in Healthy Hunger before placing an order.
Orders must be placed per student under the correct teacher. This process is required each year so we can ensure orders are delivered to the correct classrooms.
Kindergarten students are not eligible for Fun Lunch due to their limited school hours.
If you are new to the Fun Lunch program, you will need to create a New Parent Account on the Healthy Hunger website.
Order Deadline
The deadline to order a Fun Lunch or change/cancel an order is always the Saturday prior to the Fun Lunch date.
For this month, the order deadline is:
Saturday, October 10, 2026, at midnight
After this time, there is unfortunately no way to add, change or cancel an order.
Volunteer Sign-Up
Fun Lunches rely on volunteers to help organize and distribute meals. If you have a valid police clearance check, please consider signing up to help.
If you need to cancel your volunteer sign-up, please provide as much notice as possible. We require a minimum number of volunteers to distribute lunches promptly and will need time to find a replacement.
Student Absence on Fun Lunch Days
If your child is absent from school on Fun Lunch day and you plan to pick up their Fun Lunch, please email collingwood@cbe.ab.ca with instructions for pickup.
Please note:
- Instructions must be received before 10:30 AM on the day of the Fun Lunch.
- Fun Lunches are organized and distributed between 10:30 AM and 12:15 PM.
- Any unclaimed lunch orders due to student absence without pickup instructions received by 10:30 AM will be donated by the Parent Association to the staff room.
- Pickup for Fun Lunches belonging to absent students will be available from 11:30 AM–12:00 PM at the school. This allows parent volunteers time to locate and set aside the correct order.
