Songwriter Residency
We look forward to working with local singer/songwriter Kris Demeanor from February 3 to 7. Kris will be working alongside our music teacher Sra. Heath and all of the classes to write songs with the students based on the Earth Systems component of the new science curriculum. This is a diverse component of the curriculum and songs may range from climate change to animal adaptation to extreme weather phenomenon. Kris will also be working with students and staff to create a unique Collingwood School Song. Kris will be returning in April to finalize and record the songs so that we can share them with the school community. We are grateful to the Collingwood School Parent Association for their financial support for this residency

All registrations submitted after the lottery will be placed on a wait list.
Children may start Kindergarten in the fall of 2025 if they turn 5 years old on or before December 31, 2025. Children must start school if they are six years of age or older on September 1.
There is no requirement for students to have prior exposure to Spanish to begin in Kindergarten or in September of their Grade 1 year. Parents are also not expected to speak Spanish.
