Dear Collingwood School Families

Our first school "Fun Lunch" will be on Thursday, Sept 21, 2023! This fun lunch will be Subway and Booster Juice.

At this time, only September fun lunch is set up to order, but we will have the rest of the year set up within the next couple weeks.

How to Register and Pay For Fun Lunches

Please see attachement for instructions on how to register and pay for Fun Lunches using Healthy Hunger website www.healthyhunger.ca

At the start of each school year, you will need to add your child/children to the current years teacher/class to be able to place orders and so they can be delivered to the correct classroom.

Kindergarten is not in school over lunch hour, only Grades 1-5 are eligible to order fun lunches at this time.

Healthy Hunger Set Up Instructions

As a reminder, we are a litter free school, so kids will be asked to bring home all leftovers and garbage from the fun lunch. Parents may wish to send a bag to contain any drips and help kids with this!

The deadline to order fun lunch or change/cancel an order is always the Saturday prior to the fun lunch date. So, for this month, the deadline to order is Saturday, Sept 16, 2023 at midnight.

After this time, there is unfortunately no way to add/change an order.

Student Absent on Fun Lunch Days

If your child is absent from school on fun lunch day and you are planning to come pick up their fun lunch, please send an email to collingwood@cbe.ab.ca with instructions on pick up of the fun lunch. The instructions must be received prior to 10:30am on the day of the fun lunch. Fun lunches are distributed between 10:30am and 11:30am.

Any unclaimed lunch orders, due to absence of student, without directions received by 10:30am will be donated by the parent association to the staff room.

Pick up time for fun Lunches for absent students will be 11:45am - 12:00pm at the school. This will allow our parent volunteers time to find and set aside the fun lunch.

A parent association volunteer will assist you with the lunch collection during this pick up time.

Volunteers Needed

In order for Fun Lunches to be successful, we rely on parent volunteers to help out on the day with organizing and delivering the food to the classrooms.
