Dear Collingwood School Families:
Our October fun lunch for students in grades 1-5 will be Thursday, October 17, 2024! This fun lunch will be Panago Pizza and Booster Juice. In order to sign up for Fun Lunches, families need to have an account on the Healthy Hunger Website. Please see the set up instructions.
The deadline to order fun lunch or change/cancel an order is always the Saturday prior to the fun lunch date. So, for this month, the deadline to order or cancel is tomorrow - Saturday, October 12, 2024 at midnight. After this time, there is unfortunately no way to add/change or cancel an order.
As a reminder, we are a litter free school, so kids will be asked to bring home all leftovers and garbage from the fun lunch. Parents may wish to send a bag to help students contain any leaks/drips!
Volunteer Sign Up
In order for fun lunches to be a success, we rely on volunteers to help check and distribute the meals (kids are always very excited to see you!) Please consider signing up to help using this link.
Student Absent on Fun Lunch Days
If your child is absent from school on fun lunch day and you were not able to cancel their lunch order by the deadline you can come pick up their fun lunch. If you are planning to do so, please send an email to collingwood@cbe.ab.ca before 10:30 AM with instructions on pick up of the fun lunch.
The instructions must be received prior to 10:30 AM on the day of the fun lunch. Fun lunches are organized and distributed between 11:00 AM - 12:25 PM.
Any unclaimed lunch orders, due to absence of student, without directions received by 10:30 AM will be donated by the parent association to the staff room.
Pick up time for fun Lunches for absent students will be 11:45 AM - 12:15 PM at the school. This will allow our parent volunteers time to find and set aside the fun lunch.
A parent association volunteer will assist you with the lunch collection during this pick up time.
