Mark your calendars!  Our next Fun Lunch for students in Grades 1-6 will be Thursday, April 16, 2026! 

This Fun Lunch will be Boston Pizza + Booster Juice! 

IMPORTANT UPDATE

All Grade 3’s will be attending an off-site field trip this day and therefore WILL NOT be at school during their regularly scheduled lunch time to receive any Fun Lunch order. 

If your child is in Grade 3 and a lunch has already been ordered through Healthy Hunger (Healthy Hunger Website), you have until Saturday, April 11 to cancel your order.

There is an option of obtaining a credit or a refund when cancelling an order. 

Please note that all credits do not expire. Unfortunately, we cannot “hold” any ordered food items for the Grade 3’s return at the end of the school day.  We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.  

Order Deadline

The deadline to order a Fun Lunch or change/cancel an order is always the Saturday prior to the Fun Lunch date.  For this month, the order deadline is Saturday, April 11, 2026, at midnight.  After this time, there is unfortunately no way to add/change an order.

Volunteer Sign-Up

We currently have all the volunteers we require for our April Fun Lunch.  However, we consistently have cancellations a day or two before a scheduled Fun Lunch date, so please check the sign-up closer to April 16, 2026 if interested.

  • In the event that your sign-up needs to be cancelled, please provide as much notice as possible as we require a minimum number of volunteers to distribute lunches promptly and will need to replace your position with a new volunteer.

Student Absence on Fun Lunch Days

If your child is absent from school, on Fun Lunch day, and you are planning to come pick up their Fun Lunch, please send an email to collingwood@cbe.ab.ca with instructions on pickup of the lunch.  Note the following restrictions:

  • The instructions must be received prior to 10:30 a.m. on the day of the Fun Lunch. Fun Lunches are organized and distributed between 10:30 a.m. and 12:15 p.m.
  • Any unclaimed lunch orders (due to student absence), without directions received by 10:30 a.m., will be donated by the Parent Association to the staff room.
  • Pickup time for Fun Lunches for absent students will be 11:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., at the school.  This will allow our parent volunteers time to find and set aside the correct order.

After April’s Fun Lunch, we will only have the following date left for the remainder of the year:

  • May 21 - Subway + Booster Juice
