Dear Collingwood School Families,
The last school "Fun Lunch” of the year will be Thursday, June 27, 2024, which is the last day of school! It is an early dismissal day, so lunch will be served earlier than normal lunch breaks. This fun lunch will be Subway and a Kernels Popcorn snack that will be delivered earlier for morning snack time.
The deadline to order fun lunch or change an order will be the Friday prior to the fun lunch date. So, for this month, the deadline to order is Friday, June 21, 2024 at midnight. After this time, there is unfortunately no way to add/change an order. Order online or change your order at Healthy Hunger.
As a reminder, we are a litter free school, so kids will be asked to bring home all leftovers and garbage from the fun lunch. Parents may wish to send a bag to contain any drips and help kids with this!
Volunteer Sign Up
In order for fun lunches to be a success, we rely on volunteers to help check and distribute the meals (kids are always very excited to see you!). Please consider signing up to help using the link below.
Student Absent on Fun Lunch Days
If your child is absent from school on fun lunch day and you are planning to come pick up their fun lunch, please send an email to collingwood@cbe.ab.ca with instructions on pick up of the fun lunch.
The instructions must be received prior to 10:30 AM on the day of the fun lunch. Fun lunches are distributed between 10:30 AM and 11:30 AM. Any unclaimed lunch orders, due to absence of student, without directions received by 10:30 AM will be donated by the parent association to the staff room. Pick up time for fun Lunches for absent students will be 11:45 AM - 12:00 PM at the school. This will allow our parent volunteers time to find and set aside the fun lunch.
A parent association volunteer will assist you with the lunch collection during this pick up time.
