On May 6, the Grade 5 students from Collingwood had the opportunity to perform at the Jubilee Auditorium at our annual Que Pasa event, which included singing, dancing, playing instruments, and drama from our Spanish bilingual schools, ranging from elementary to high school. It was also a wonderful opportunity for them to watch the performances by the other schools!

Collingwood's program included: a cueca, Chile's national dance, to a recording entitled "La rosa y el clavel" by Hugo Lagos y su Conjunto and, "La joya del Pacifico," originally written by Lázaro Salgado & Víctor Acosta, arranged by Sra.Heath.

We were also fortunate to have our very own Kieran C. (Grade 5) open and close the show with his classical Spanish guitar pieces: Waltz by Bartolomé Calatayud and the

Malagueña, which is a traditional flamenco piece.
