The entire school was walking and running around the field last Thursday for the annual Terry Fox Run. Many parents and family members also joined us to run or cheer. We have had a great response to the fundraising campaign. If families would still like to donate to the Terry Fox Foundation for cancer research they can do so in the following ways:
- Donate by clicking this link: https://schools.terryfox.ca/CollingwoodSchool
- Send a Cash donation to the school.
- Purchase a Terry Fox t-shirt online:
- purchases will be added to Collingwood's total.
Tax receipts will be provided for online donations ONLY.

Fun Lunch Sept 18
Welcome back to what we anticipate will be an exciting new year! With that being said, let’s kick off September with our first announcement of the year! Our first Fun Lunch for students in Grades 1-6 will be Thursday, September 18, 2025!
See our Fun Lunch details.
Labour Action
The Alberta Teachers’ Association (ATA) announced last week, that if a negotiated settlement cannot be reached, strike action would begin on Monday, Oct. 6.
For now, it is business as usual in CBE schools.
We are still hopeful that a settlement will be reached between the ATA and Teachers’ Employer Bargaining Association (TEBA) before Oct. 6.
Labour action causes uncertainty for everyone, particularly if you are a parent of a K-12 student in Alberta.
You can expect more communication as the situation evolves, and if strike action is expected to begin. You can also find the most up-to-date information on the CBE’s labour action webpage
In Person Parent-Teacher Conferences
