Message from Interim Principal – Rick Petrowitsch
The school has been buzzing with creativity during the Visual Arts Residency that has taken place over the past few weeks. Students have been expressing themselves through a variety of art projects, and it has been wonderful to see their creativity flourish.
Thank you to the School Council for funding this residency, and to the many parent volunteers who have been supporting classrooms throughout this experience.
Teachers have also been busy finalizing Report Cards, which will be available to parents on Tuesday, February 24, 2026. A great deal of care and effort goes into preparing these reports, particularly the teachers’ written comments. We encourage families to take the time to review both the report card and the comments carefully, as they provide valuable insight into your child’s learning.
We hope everyone enjoys the long weekend. We look forward to welcoming students back on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at 8:00 AM
Single Sign-Up for Ongoing Volunteer Opportunities
Our Parent Association has streamlined volunteer sign-ups into a single sign-up link, allowing families to view all current and upcoming volunteer opportunities in one place.
Please check back regularly, as new opportunities will continue to be added.
School Zone Safety
A friendly reminder to all Collingwood families to slow down and take extra precautions during morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up times. We recognize that this is a high-traffic area, and we ask families to use the designated student drop-off zone whenever possible.
If you need to park on the opposite side of the school, please ensure that you cross the street with your child at the marked crosswalk. Student safety is our top priority.
If you have ongoing concerns regarding school zone safety, you may submit a Traffic Service Request through the Calgary Police Service.
School Field Trip Fees – Payable Online
School field trip fees are uploaded online and can be viewed and paid through your MyCBE/PowerSchool account.
Please refer to the Student Fee Guide for instructions on how to complete online payments.
If a waiver is not obtained and fees remain unpaid, these costs must be covered by the school budget. Thank you for your cooperation and ongoing support of Collingwood School.
