Message from Assistant Principal – Adriana McCruden

Dear parents,

I want to encourage you to attend our next School Council Meeting on Wednesday, March 11 at 6:30 PM. You have the option to attend online via the meeting link. The principal and I will be making a presentation related to school planning.

Learn and Share | School Planning

We know we make better decisions to support student learning when we build understanding and work together. That is why we will be sharing information about school planning and asking you to share your perspectives. During this engagement, you will have the opportunity to learn about:

  • School planning, which includes the school development plan, school budget, and school fees
  • How the school development plan sets the overall focus and direction for improving student learning outcomes
  • How the school budget provides funding to implement our school development plan
  • School fees and why they are necessary

Please join us virtually or in person at the School Council meeting on Wednesday, March 11, 2026 to learn more and provide feedback. You can also watch this short video to learn about the planning work schools do to improve and support student learning.

Teacher Potluck

The Collingwood Parent Association is organizing a Potluck Dinner for our wonderful teachers during conferences on March 19! This is a small way to show our appreciation and keep them fueled during a long day of connecting with families. If you are able to contribute a dish, we would be so grateful. Please sign up here to let us know what you will be bringing.

School Conferences

On Thursday, March 19 and Friday, March 20, we will be hosting in-person student-led conferences. Parents and guardians are invited to book a 1-hour slot to visit the classroom and have your child guide you through different stations to show you their work. Please be sure to touch base with the teacher during the conference. If you require a more in-depth or private conversation, please reach out to the teacher directly to book a separate time.

Sra. Heath (Music) and Sra. Beltran (Resource) will be available on a drop-in basis on Thursday evening and Friday morning.
