Message from Principal — Eve Moreau
Collingwood's School Council meeting will take place on Wednesday, November 4, at 6:00 PM.
All parents and guardians are encouraged to attend, share their perspectives, and stay connected with the initiatives and priorities shaping our school community.
Traffic Safety Survey — Closes November 2
Thank you to the families who have already shared their feedback through our Traffic Safety Survey. Your perspectives are valuable as we work with our community and partners to explore ways to improve traffic flow and student safety around Collingwood School.
If you have not yet participated, please take a few minutes to complete the Traffic Safety Survey before November 2.
Understanding Alberta Education Literacy and Numeracy Screening Results
We have received several questions from families about interpreting the recently shared Alberta Education Literacy and Numeracy Screening Results.
To support your understanding, the CBE has provided the following grade-specific parent resources.
Literacy — Parent Resources
- Grade 1 Literacy Screener
- Grade 2 Literacy Screener
- Grade 3 Literacy Screener
- Grade 4 Literacy Screener
- Grade 5 Literacy Screener
Numeracy — Parent Resources
- Grade 1 Numeracy Screener
- Grade 2 Numeracy Screener
- Grade 3 Numeracy Screener
- Grade 4 Numeracy Screener
- Grade 5 Numeracy Screener
Please remember that screening results provide a snapshot of student learning and complement, rather than replace, ongoing classroom assessments and teacher observations.
The CBE is also working with Alberta Education to develop responses to common questions from families. We will share additional information with our school community as soon as it becomes available.
Sincerely,
Eve Moreau
Principal
