Halloween
Halloween is an important cultural activity for many of our children and families. Students are invited to wear their Halloween costume to school on October 31. There will be a Halloween Parade on that day so students will be able to see one another’s costumes. Costumes with excessive gore or weapons are not allowed at school. Classes will also be organizing Halloween-themed learning activities with their buddy classes and grade teams. Please do not send food or treats to school on Halloween or on your child’s birthday. Please contact your child’s teacher if your child will not be participating in Halloween activities and requires an alternative learning plan at school for the day.

Skate Shack
Dec. 18 – 22 all Collingwood students will participate in outdoor skating at Triwood Community Centre. If the weather and ice don’t cooperate we do have the option to use the indoor ice as well. Please set aside these dates in your calendar as we will need many volunteers to help children with skates and on the ice. A sign up genius and schedule will follow at a later date. We have booked the Skate Shack which is a trailer filled with skates and helmets which students can use for this outdoor skating experience.
